EverQuest is a classic MMORPG released in 1999. It pioneered the genre and still maintains a loyal niche following due to regular updates from Daybreak Game Company and nostalgia-driven servers. As an aging title, its active player base is modest compared to modern MMOs, but it remains one of the longer-lasting examples of the genre, estimated at several thousand daily active players.

Odin: Valhalla Rising is a mobile and PC MMORPG developed by Lionheart Studio and published by Kakao Games. It launched in 2021 and initially attracted significant attention in Korea and parts of Asia. As an MMORPG with cross-platform play, it benefits from the strong MMO market in those regions, but daily active players are likely lower outside of Asia. Given the game's age and the typical lifecycle for mobile MMORPGs, combined with Kakao's publishing power, a daily player count in the 60,000–70,000 range is plausible, with retention primarily in Korea and Taiwan.
