Rose Online is a classic anime-themed MMORPG that originally launched in the mid-2000s and was revived by Rednim Games and Gravity Interactive. The game had a niche but passionate community, but due to its age (over 10 years since the 2012 re-release) and lack of major recent updates or mainstream attention, the active daily player base is low, likely around 1,000–2,000. Still, as an old-school MMO, it maintains small, dedicated servers.

Second Life is a long-running sandbox virtual world released in 2003 by Linden Research. Its mainstream popularity peaked in the late 2000s, but it retains a loyal user base thanks to its unique user-created content and social interaction. It is still supported and receives regular updates, but its daily player base is much smaller than during its peak years. Current estimates place its daily active users in the tens of thousands.
