How these estimates are made

EverQuest

EverQuest is estimated to have 550 – 2k players a day. Around 66k – 170k accounts have played it in total. The range is anchored on Steam’s official concurrent-player and review counts, then converted to daily actives and accounts — so it covers the Steam player base and will under-count a game played mostly through its own launcher or on console.

Minecraft

Minecraft is estimated to have 2k – 1m players a day. Around 280k – 27m accounts have played it in total. No Steam data is published for this game, so the range is modelled from the size of its Discord, Reddit, Twitch, YouTube and app-store communities. It is a rough band rather than a measurement.
