Eastward Legend: The Empyrean is a mobile fantasy RPG published by Tencent Games and Gameflier and developed by Seasun Games. The game is purportedly a mobile MMOARPG with a persistent world and multiplayer elements. As a recent release from a major publisher in the genre-popular Chinese mobile market, initial daily players may be around 20,000, but likely not at the level of the top grossing titles given limited western awareness and promotion.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.
