How these estimates are made

Bit Hotel

Bit Hotel is estimated to have 18 – 9k players a day. Around 10k – 990k accounts have played it in total. No Steam data is published for this game, so the range is modelled from the size of its Discord, Reddit, Twitch, YouTube and app-store communities. It is a rough band rather than a measurement.

Rift

Rift is estimated to have 520 – 2k players a day. Around 230k – 580k accounts have played it in total. The range is anchored on Steam’s official concurrent-player and review counts, then converted to daily actives and accounts — so it covers the Steam player base and will under-count a game played mostly through its own launcher or on console.
