Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.

More than a decade later, it retains a small but consistent niche audience. As a browser-based MMO, its population has steadily declined, especially with increased competition and aging tech, but its structure and legacy support some daily player activity.
