Ragnarok X: Next Generation, released in 2021, is a mobile MMORPG developed by Gravity and published by Nuverse. Given its connection to the popular Ragnarok franchise and established publisher, it launched strong in Southeast Asia and retains a dedicated, largely regional playerbase. Mobile MMORPGs tend to see steady but gradually declining activity after 2–3 years; as of 2024, a daily active player estimate around 35,000 is reasonable for a game of this profile and age.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.
