Creative Destruction is a battle royale shooter from NetEase Games, released in 2018. While it had some popularity at launch as a mobile and PC alternative to Fortnite, player numbers have declined significantly due to competition and lack of major updates. As of 2024, its daily player base is likely very low, with most activity in specific regions. NetEase is a major publisher, but the game is well past its peak.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.
