Continent of the Ninth Seal (C9) is an action MMORPG released in 2012 by Webzen. While it initially attracted attention due to its dynamic combat and fantasy setting, its age (over a decade old) and the presence of richer alternatives in the MMO market have caused a significant decline in active player base. Webzen has maintained niche support, but current activity is limited to a small, dedicated community typical for legacy MMOs of this vintage.

World of Warcraft Classic, released in 2019 by Blizzard Entertainment, is a major MMORPG revival of the original WoW experience. The game continues to have a robust, though markedly smaller, player base than at launch, thanks to a steady cycle of classic content and expansions (like Wrath of the Lich King Classic). As an MMORPG developed and maintained by a top-tier publisher, it sees strong retention, but is several years past launch and shares its community with retail WoW.
