Carrion Fields is a text-based MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) launched in 1994. While it still maintains a small, dedicated player base, its daily active users are very limited due to its age, niche status, and the decline of MUDs as more graphical MMORPGs took over the genre. The game is persistent and supports simultaneous player interactions typical of MMOs, but its overall population is small.
