Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.

Elsword is a side-scrolling action MMORPG developed by KOG Studios, originally launched in 2007 in Korea but released in various regions over time (JP Steam version launched 2019). It is well past its peak but still retains a dedicated niche community, especially in Asia, due to ongoing updates and publisher support from Nexon. Its age and competition from newer MMOs limit growth, but loyal fans keep the player base stable.
