How these estimates are made

Ark: Survival Evolved

Ark: Survival Evolved is estimated to have 57k – 200k players a day. Around 8m – 21m accounts have played it in total. The range is anchored on Steam’s official concurrent-player and review counts, then converted to daily actives and accounts — so it covers the Steam player base and will under-count a game played mostly through its own launcher or on console.

Minecraft

Minecraft is estimated to have 3k – 1m players a day. Around 300k – 29m accounts have played it in total. No Steam data is published for this game, so the range is modelled from the size of its Discord, Reddit, Twitch, YouTube and app-store communities. It is a rough band rather than a measurement.
