How these estimates are made

Elite: Dangerous

Elite: Dangerous is estimated to have 17k – 62k players a day. Around 2m – 4m accounts have played it in total. The range is anchored on Steam’s official concurrent-player and review counts, then converted to daily actives and accounts — so it covers the Steam player base and will under-count a game played mostly through its own launcher or on console.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War

Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War is estimated to have 5 – 2k players a day. Around 5k – 500k accounts have played it in total. No Steam data is published for this game, so the range is modelled from the size of its Discord, Reddit, Twitch, YouTube and app-store communities. It is a rough band rather than a measurement.
