Ashes of Creation is a highly anticipated fantasy MMORPG developed by Intrepid Studios. Although its official release date is listed as late 2023, as of mid-2024 it is still in active alpha/beta testing phases rather than full launch. PlanetSide 2 is a large-scale MMOFPS released in 2012 by Daybreak Game Company. Its unique, persistent world and battles with hundreds of players make it a niche but enduring title. Active support and a tight community keep player numbers modest but steady, especially considering its age. Estimates put daily active players in the low thousands, largely split across a few servers.
