The Imperial Realm: Miranda is a real-time strategy game released in 2017 by Secret Lair Games, a small indie developer. RTS games from small studios with niche appeal and no major publisher tend to have very low active populations a few years after launch, unless they build significant cult followings. There has been little recent discussion or marketing, suggesting a very small, dedicated player base remains.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.
