Ragnarok Online 2 launched in 2013 as a sequel to the classic Ragnarok Online MMO, but never matched its predecessor's popularity. Over a decade old and with limited ongoing marketing or updates from Gravity, its player base has declined significantly. Current activity is limited to niche or loyal communities, so daily players are estimated in the low hundreds.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a classic MMORPG launched in 2011 by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Although it had a large player base at launch, the numbers have declined over the years, especially since it's now over a decade old and several expansions have come and gone. However, it still maintains a loyal core community thanks to regular content updates and the strength of the Star Wars IP. As an MMORPG, it does meet the MMO criteria with a persistent online world and the ability to interact with thousands of players simultaneously.
